Database Architect

**What this role entail**
- Analyse, Create and Own the database design and architecture requirements for the complex distributed systems
- Design the databases for the microservices with well-defined bounded context and interaction with other services
- Develop, and maintain high performance data-driven architectures
- Align architecture with business requirements and provide solutions which fits best to solve the business problems
- Query and Schema optimisation to ensure the optimal performance under high load
- Understanding systems beyond RDBMS, like No-Sql, In-memory database like Redis
- Run detailed POC to solve variety of complex problems across products.
- Use Python, Shell Script for system automation and tools development
- Data acquisition and clean up from multiple sources across the organization
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Develop automated tasks for data operations
- Deliver continuous updates to the key stakeholders
- Understand the domain and business well
- Understand the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources on the Cloud (AWS / GCP). Using well defined ETL tools like PySpark, Data Flow
- Understand the practices on data reporting and continuous monitoring using Prometheus, ELK or similar tool

- Good understanding of PostgreSQL replication, high availability and clustering across availability zones and regions
- Good understanding of the Google Big Query, used as high performance analytical system
- Good understanding of Database backup and restore to align with data laws
- Participate in an agile software development life cycle including providing testing guidelines for database related changes.
- Good understanding of Programming language, preferably Python, Shell for the custom scripts
- Understanding No SQL and in memory databases is a value add

**Salary**: ₹5,000,000.00 - ₹5,500,000.00 per year
