**Job Description of Sonography Technician**

The Sonography Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using ultrasound technology. This role involves preparing patients for exams, conducting ultrasound scans, and ensuring high-quality images for interpretation by physicians, while maintaining a compassionate and professional environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Patient Interaction**:
Ø Conduct pre-examination interviews to gather patient medical history and current symptoms.

Ø Explain procedures to patients and answer any questions to alleviate anxiety and ensure understanding.

**Patient Safety**:
Ø Follow strict infection control protocols to ensure patient safety and minimize the risk of contamination.

Ø Monitor patients during procedures and respond promptly to any signs of distress or adverse reactions.

**Documentation**:
Ø Typing all the report radiologist

Ø Able to handle reporting tasks both (online and offline.)

Ø Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures performed, images acquired, and relevant findings.

Ø Prepare preliminary reports for review by radiologists or physicians.

Ø Maintain all registers.

**Equipment Operation**:
Ø Operate advanced ultrasound machines and accessories, adjusting settings as needed for optimal image quality.

Ø Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

**Quality Control**:
Ø Review and analyze images for technical quality, ensuring that they meet the standards set by the department and regulatory bodies.

Ø Make necessary adjustments during the examination to obtain the best possible images.

**Collaboration**:
Ø Work closely with radiologists and healthcare teams to discuss imaging results and assist in developing patient care plans.

Ø Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide insights based on ultrasound findings.
