Associate - Strategic Sourcing

**Job Summary**: This role will primarily act as Supplier point of contact & will be responsible to manage the Suppliers for EU Business region. This will include support Sourcing activities including open order management, annual price negotiations & handling product quality related activities.
**MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Supplier Management**:
Develop supplier management skill to set up and keep the strategic partnership with supplier to support product and company development.
Help supplier to establish logistic system, set up the target for on time delivery and follow-up, help SQA to improve supplier delivery quality and process.
Timely solve the exceptional delivery issues in daily operation.
Organize supplier evaluation in certain period together with Quality, Engineering,

**Project management**:
Participate the team of project management, take the responsibility to fulfil the task defined within the team, such as inquiry, quotations for products requested.

Support the initiatives taken up by the organization in the areas of continuous improvement, lean management. Identify the projects for lead time reduction & cost reduction.

**New supplier introduction**:
Market scan different information channel, analyze the information and selected potential suppliers.
Implement company sourcing strategy, use supplier selection knowledge and skill to audit the potential supplier and select suitable supplier for company.
Support the supplier on board and maintenance good relationship with suppliers Logistic.

**Contract Handling & Negotiation**:
By using advanced negotiation skill to get optimal price, at the same time get better payment term, delivery and quality etc.
By using certain economic and legal knowledge to sign the favorable supplier contract and follow-up

**Routine case inquiry**
Review and optimize buying source for better product quality and cost saving
To strictly follow the operational procedures of hazardous chemicals and other regulation

Work with Business leaders to provide frequent updates on orders' status.
Prepare for periodical sourcing report.
Other work assigned by line manager.

**QUALIFICATION: (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)**
Education, Training, and Certification**:Bachelor's degree or above**

Work Experience**:Minimum 5 years' experience in Strategic Sourcing in the field of Lab Products -Consumables, Life Science, Chemicals**

**Competencies required**:
Big Data Analytics (Power BI, MS Office tools, SAP, QV)
Excellent communication & presentation skills

Quality systems and procedures

Knowledge on Supply Chain Management Procedures

Flexibility in working hours to suit Global Business regions.

**Additional skill sets preferred**:
Sustainability (Sustainable Procurement, Responsible Supplier Program)

Certifications in the areas of Supplier Audits, Data Analytics

Knowledge on European Standards (EXIM, Legal, Regulatory)

**Working conditions**:
Typically works in an office with occasional travel to supplier locations based on project requirements.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
