- Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) department within HBAP measures and monitors global credit and market risks arising from lending and trading activities as well as providing credit approval for large corporate, financial institution and sovereign exposures.
- The Stress Testing team within WCRM ensures that stress testing is implemented across the group in line with best practice for the purpose of (i) risk management, (ii) compliance with the Basel II/III regulatory framework and (iii) meeting enterprise-wide stress testing needs.

**The Opportunity**:

- The role requires supporting the ownership and accountability on some of the key elements of the stress testing framework. This includes: (i) providing methodology guidance to the local sites with the support of the Group methodology team (RRA), (ii) consolidating results, (iii) delivering analysis to Senior Management and (iv) ensuring that stress testing is meeting the demands of the front office and regulators (v) support the expanded scope of ASP WCRM Stress Testing team in the Annual Operating Plan and Global Internal Stress test.
- This role sits in Wholesale Credit at regional level and covers a large scope of risks, stakeholders, and geographies. This is why the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently is a key skill.

**What you’ll do**:

- Lead the delivery of end-to-end stress testing results (regulatory as well as internal) pertaining to counterparty credit risk (CCR) using exceptional and in-depth analysis.
- Coordination with multiple teams to ensure Stress scenarios and model inputs are appropriately fed in the risk engines, analyzing results, identifying key risk drivers, and recommending management actions on stressed results thereby supporting effective decision making.
- Main point of contact in WCRM for stress testing questions coming from local country teams, regions, other Group teams and regulators
- In depth knowledge of IFRS9 impairments framework and associated expected credit loss provisioning. Knowledge of Credit Risk metrics like PD, LGD, EAD, ECL, RWAs is mandatory.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to independently present results, negotiate and work effectively with senior business and stakeholders across business divisions and geographies.
- Constantly involved in seeking areas of improvement, gaining better process efficiency between teams** **in the stress testing ecosystem and avoiding task redundancy
- Guiding, mentoring, and assisting team members ensuring all deliverables are of high quality and delivered on time.
Requirements

**What you will need to succeed in the role***

**Background**
- University degree and/or post graduate qualification with a relevant quantitative content.
- More than 6 years of relevant experience in Banking Risk Management, specifically in Wholesale Credit Risk.

**Technical skills**
- Technical skills like SAS and SQL are a must.
- Knowledge on Tableau and Python is an added plus.

**Soft skills**
- Good communication skills (oral and written) are essential. Ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear manner.
- Demonstrate the ability to learn abstract concepts and to operate effectively against uncertainty and on unfamiliar ground.
- Must demonstrate the ability to communicate with a various range of stakeholders including technical and non-technical staff.
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet tight deadlines when required.
- Able to interact effectively with senior management.

**What additional skills will be good to have?**
- Experience in either corporate banking or wholesale risk management
- Willing to work with colleagues in other areas/time zones where appropriate.
- Open personality and effective communication skills, ability, and flexibility to work in an international team.
- Ability to write clear and understandable documents/ commentary.
