We are looking for a versatile Machine Learning Engineer to join our fast paced and agile team.

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge machine learning solutions, handling analytics work, data preparation, and training models. In this role, As part of our fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate closely with feature developers, program managers, and data scientists to deliver impactful solutions that meet our business objectives.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong skills in written and oral communications, a can-do attitude, and the willingness to tackle hard problems in innovative ways. You also thrive in a team environment that values cross team collaboration and building on the success of others.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with Product, Engineering, DataScience and Outreach to provide analytical support and help with data-driven decision making.
- Partner with data scientists to preprocess and analyze large datasets, and extract meaningful insights to inform model development.
- Prepare and preprocess training data to ensure its quality and suitability for machine learning models.
- Train, test, and validate machine learning models and optimize their performance through rigorous testing and tuning.

- Create and maintain machine learning pipelines for seamless integration and deployment of models into production environments.

Qualifications:

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent years of work experience.
- 2+ years of strong hands-on experience with Python and ML engineering on Azure.
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation/validation.
- Strong SQL knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL server, Postgres or other databases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Expert in writing SQL and familiar with multiple data sources and architectures (Microsoft SQL Server, Presto, SparkSQL, U-SQL etc.)
- Strong experience Azure Machine Learning Studio, authoring pipelines and building machine learning models
- Exposure to "big data" technologies, particularly any part of a Spark, HBASE, Hadoop stack
