Assistant Officer

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct seed tests including:

- **Germination test**:

- **Moisture content analysis**:

- **Physical purity**:

- **Seed viability (Tetrazolium test, if required)**:

- **Seed health test**:

- **Standards**, and **internal SOPs** for all testing procedures.
- Maintain daily lab records, test reports, and compliance logs.
- Compile and communicate reports to production, procurement, and R&D teams.
- Ensure traceability of samples and testing records as per audit standards.
- Operate and maintain seed testing instruments such as seed blower, germinator, moisture meter, oven, etc.
- Maintain lab hygiene and ensure a contamination-free environment.
- Support in calibration and servicing of lab instruments.
- Support external audits from Seed Certification Agencies, NSC, or regulatory authorities.
- Coordinate with procurement, production, processing, and packaging units for sample testing and approvals.
- Support R&D and Breeding teams with pre-release and trial sample analysis.
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Agriculture / Seed Science / Seed Technology / Agronomy / Plant Breeding
- Additional certification in **Seed Quality Testing** (preferred).
- 1-3 years of experience in a certified seed testing laboratory.
- Freshers with strong academic background and lab practicals may be considered.
- Sound knowledge of seed biology, testing methods, and standards.
- Ability to handle lab equipment with precision.
- Familiarity with ISTA or Indian Seed Certification procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic data recording tools.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and process compliance.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
