**Location: Thirumudivakkam, Chennai**
**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:
**Purchase Order Processing**:
Generate and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Verify purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy.
**Supplier Coordination**:
Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate terms, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
Maintain strong relationships with vendors to optimize pricing and terms.
**Documentation and Record Keeping**:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
Assist in the documentation of all relevant procurement activities.
**Inventory Management**:
Collaborate with the inventory team to monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
Conduct regular reviews of inventory to identify and address discrepancies.
**Quality Assurance**:
Work closely with quality control to ensure purchased products meet specified standards.
Address and resolve any issues related to the quality of purchased items.
**Cost Analysis**:
Assist in analyzing costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Research and recommend alternative products or suppliers to optimize procurement processes.
**Compliance**:
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all procurement activities.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new product releases.
**Reporting**:
Generate reports on purchasing activities as required by management.
Provide regular updates on procurement status and potential issues.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: fresher/ two-year experience in related field.
**Technical Skills**:
Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of inventory management systems.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers.
Team Player: Collaborative attitude and ability to work well within a team.
