**Reports To**: Head Nurse / Nurse Manager

**Job Summary**: The Staff Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Operating Theatre (OT), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and Casualty departments. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring patient safety, and delivering compassionate care across a variety of complex and acute settings.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Operating Theatre (OT)**:

- Prepare and maintain the sterile environment in the OT.
- Assist in the setup and management of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Support the surgical team during operations, including scrubbing in and providing sterile field.
- Monitor and assess patients’ conditions pre
- and post-surgery.
- Ensure proper documentation of surgical procedures and patient responses.
- Provide postoperative care and assist in recovery.

**2. Intensive Care Unit (ICU)**:

- Provide critical care to patients with severe and life-threatening conditions.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform advanced interventions as required.
- Utilize specialized equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors.
- Communicate effectively with patients’ families about their condition and treatment plan.
- Collaborate with ICU doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct regular assessments and adjust care plans based on patient progress.

**3. Casualty**:

- Conduct initial patient assessments and triage in the Casualty department.
- Provide immediate care for emergency cases, including wound care, IV placement, and stabilization.
- Coordinate with emergency medical teams and specialists as needed.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain emergency care records.
- Educate patients and families on follow-up care and prevention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and emergency procedures.

**General Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures to ensure the highest standard of care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
- Support and mentor junior nursing staff and students as required.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and dignity at all times.

**Qualifications**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license.
- Any Degree certifications required.
- Proven experience in OT, ICU, and/or Casualty settings preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to perform under pressure.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle complex and high-stress situations with professionalism.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Capability to lift and move patients, and operate medical equipment.
- Good manual dexterity and vision.

**Work Environment**:

- Work in high pressure and sometimes noisy environments.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous materials, with appropriate protective measures.

**Experience**:

- Nursing: 3 years (required)
- ICU experience: 3 years (required)
- Patient care: 3 years (required)
- Care plans: 3 years (required)
