Job Profile_

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis, Management and Statistical Support
- Perform statistical analyses on complex environmental health data, epidemiological data, and public health records including longitudinal, multilevel, and geospatial datasets.
- Develop predictive models to assess the impact of environmental and climate variables (e.g., temperature, air quality, extreme weather events) on health outcomes.
- Develop and validate statistical models to evaluate associations between environmental exposures and health outcomes.
- Organize, clean, and maintain large environmental and health-related datasets.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity through validation and error-checking procedures.

Research Collaboration
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including climate scientists, epidemiologists, environmental scientists, and public health professionals, to design and execute studies.
- Provide technical support in the preparation of grant proposals, study protocols, and research manuscripts.
- Collaborate with researchers to select appropriate statistical methods and interpret results.

Methodological Development
- Assist in designing and implementing studies, including determining sample sizes, selecting appropriate methodologies, and developing statistical models.
- Contribute to the development of innovative biostatistical methods tailored to environmental health research.
- Stay updated on advancements in statistical techniques and software tools relevant to the field.

Reporting and Communication
- Prepare tables, figures, and written summaries of statistical analyses for publications, presentations, and reports.
- Communicate statistical concepts and findings to non-statistical audiences effectively.
- Create clear and informative visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the public.

- Qualification_

- A Master-s degree in Biostatistics
- Statistics
- Epidemiology
- Public Health
- or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of statistical methods and experience with statistical software (e.g. R- SAS- STATA- or Python).
- Experience working with large datasets and conducting multivariate analyses.
- Familiarity with environmental health or climate change datasets

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

- Experience in geospatial analysis and working with spatial data (e.g. GIS tools).
