Job Description: Packing Assistant

Job Summary:
The Packing Assistant is responsible for assisting in the packing and preparation of food products for shipment. This role ensures that products are packed according to company standards and regulatory requirements, maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency. The Packing Assistant will work as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Packing Operations:

- Assist in the packing of food products into containers, boxes, and crates.
- Ensure products are packed according to specified guidelines and standards.
- Label and seal packages accurately and efficiently.

2. Quality Control:

- Inspect products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before packing.
- Ensure that packaging materials meet quality and safety standards.
- Report any issues or discrepancies to the Packing Supervisor.

3. Equipment Operation:

- Operate packing machines and equipment as required.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of packing equipment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor.

4. Inventory Management:

- Monitor packaging supplies and report low inventory levels to the supervisor.
- Assist in the organization and storage of packaging materials.

5. Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Follow food safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Participate in safety training and drills.

6. Team Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Assist in training new staff as required.

7. Documentation and Record Keeping:

- Maintain accurate records of packed products, including quantities and batch numbers.
- Complete required paperwork and documentation for traceability.

8. Housekeeping:

- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Participate in regular cleaning and sanitation activities.

Qualifications:
**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a packing or production role within a food manufacturing environment is preferred but not required.

**Skills**:

- Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Manual dexterity and the ability to handle packaging materials and equipment.

Working Conditions:

- Work is performed in a factory setting with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
