Sheet Metal Fitter

Pune Gas is looking for a Sheet Metal Fitter. Who will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing sheet metal products used in various components of oil and gas facilities? This role requires a high level of skill in reading blueprints, precision cutting, shaping, and fitting sheet metal parts according to specifications.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Blueprint Interpretation**: Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the requirements for sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- **Sheet Metal Fabrication**: Utilize various tools and equipment such as shears, brakes, punches, and drills to cut, shape, and form sheet metal into required components.
- **Assembly**: Assemble fabricated sheet metal parts using techniques such as welding, bolting, riveting, and soldering.
- **Measurement and Layout**: Take accurate measurements and layout dimensions on sheet metal to ensure precision and adherence to specifications.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards, including dimensional accuracy, fit, and finish.
- **Installation**: Install fabricated sheet metal components according to project requirements, industry standards, and safety regulations.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with other tradespeople, such as welders, pipefitters, and electricians, to coordinate activities and ensure the seamless integration of sheet metal components into larger systems.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including material usage, labour hours, and project progress.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a recognized sheet metal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and installation.
- Strong mathematical skills and ability to perform accurate measurements and calculations.
- Familiarity with a variety of sheet metal materials, tools, and equipment.
- Knowledge of welding techniques and procedures preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards.

**Working Conditions**:

- The role may require working in various weather conditions and environments, including outdoor sites and confined spaces.
- May involve lifting heavy objects and working at heights.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, gloves, and steel-toed boots are typically required.

**Salary**: ₹13,099.43 - ₹25,000.00 per month
