
Infection Control Nurse

An infection control nurse (ICN) is responsible for preventing and managing the spread of infections in healthcare settings. Their duties include:
- **Developing and implementing infection control protocols**: ICNs create and implement protocols to minimize the risk of exposure to infections for patients and healthcare workers.
- **Monitoring compliance**: ICNs monitor compliance with hygiene practices.
- **Educating staff and patients**: ICNs educate healthcare staff and patients on infection prevention measures.
- **Responding to outbreaks**: ICNs respond to outbreaks and potential threats.
- **Collecting and analyzing surveillance data**: ICNs collect, analyze, and interpret surveillance data to identify infections, infection risks, and communicable disease outbreaks.
- **Providing care to personnel**: ICNs provide care to personnel for work-related illnesses or exposures.
- **Identifying work-related infection risks**: ICNs identify work-related infection risks and institute appropriate preventive measures.
ICNs may need to be able to:
- Analyze and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests
- Analyze and interpret written and numerical information
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing
Pay: ₹8,459.41 - ₹45,000.00 per month
