**Job Description Summary**:
The role, Lead Treasury Specialist Trade Finance, is a member of the Treasury team of GE Vernova HQ. Treasury is responsible for GE Vernova’s activities within Financial Reporting and Risk, Trade Finance, Corporate Finance, Business Treasury and Transactional Services.

This role reports to the Head of Trade Finance, under the Vernova Treasurer.

**Job Description**:
Roles and Responsibilities:

- Partner with treasury leadership to develop and implement a fit-for-purpose GE Vernova trade finance strategy in coordination with commercial & finance teams, as well as global banks
- Functional Expert on GE ALOC system.
- Support System enhancements, UAT, development and rolling out required training
- Provide Internal business partners with services and tailored solutions to mitigate risk in trade finance transactions
- Propose structured solutions financing and optimize external credit lines. The four main product groups are Bank Guarantees, Standby Letters of Credit, Surety Bonds and Parent Company Guarantees.
- Manage and Maintain Bank Trade Finance Credit Lines; Negotiate bank lines and portfolio pricing.
- Lead reporting implementation and issuance.
- Support business commercial deals by providing advisory work around deal structure, payment security, legal entity selection, and other treasury related topics.
- Lead trade finance portfolio management globally, coordinating a timely closure of aged instruments with business units.

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (at least 3 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).
- Significant understanding and experience in Trade Finance
- Significant experience with Trade Finance Automation ie. ALOC

- Strong Knowledge of Trade finance Platforms and current market technology
- Confidence / Assertiveness: strong influencing skills across business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with business leaders to achieve business objectives while driving controllership/GE Values
- Experience working in global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows, inclusive leader
- Adaptable/flexible: being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
- Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
- Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
