- Key Responsibilities:_
- Collaborate with architects and other design professionals to develop plumbing system designs for various projects.
- Create detailed drawings and specifications that outline the layout and installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and gas systems.
- Utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to produce accurate and efficient plumbing system drawings.
- Stay abreast of local, state, and national plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.
- Ensure that all plumbing designs comply with relevant codes and regulations to guarantee safety and adherence to industry best practices.
- Provide guidance to project teams on code requirements and updates.
- Work closely with architects, structural engineers, mechanical engineers, and other professionals to coordinate plumbing designs with overall building plans.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project managers to address specific project requirements and constraints.
- Participate in design review meetings to integrate feedback and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Specify appropriate materials and equipment for plumbing systems based on project specifications and budget constraints.
- Evaluate new plumbing technologies and products to enhance system efficiency and sustainability.
- Ensure that selected materials and equipment meet quality and performance standards.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for plumbing system installations, considering labor, materials, and equipment.
- Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
- Conduct regular site visits to inspect plumbing system installations and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Address any issues or discrepancies promptly to maintain high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to implement best practices and improve design processes.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation for plumbing designs, including drawings, specifications, and project records.
- Generate reports and documentation required for regulatory approvals and permits.
- Keep accurate records of design changes and revisions.
- Stay informed about advancements in plumbing technology, sustainable practices, and industry trends.

- Qualifications and Skills:_
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing Design, or a related field.
