Join us as a Climate Data & Analysis Associate
- You'll be joining a team responsible for developing and running climate related reporting and measurement, including purpose measurement, monitoring, and tracking
- You'll help to set up the climate data, MI, and associated control processes within Finance, working alongside franchises, Risk, Data, and Sustainable Banking
- You’ll be exposed to experts across the Finance function, putting you in a unique position to build a credible professional network that will open the door to excellent career developments
- This role is available at associate level

**What you'll do**:
In this role you’ll be responsible for the delivery and integrity of monthly financial information, statutory and external reporting, value added commentary and analysis for the Climate Data & Analysis team. You’ll provide, support and input into the end to end control and ownership of franchise and legal entity balance sheets, as well as all change control initiatives. Along with this, you’ll support the delivery of full substantiation and reconciliation of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts within a controlled framework.

Day to day, you’ll:

- Work with the Climate Data & Analysis team to develop and maintain reporting and MI dashboard capability to help track progress against our climate ambition
- Assist in setting up a control framework for internal and external reporting
- Build and maintain a positive working relationship with stakeholders across multiple franchises, functions and at different levels, including respective franchise climate partners, bank-wide Climate Centre of Excellence, and external consultants as required
- Develop knowledge on climate reporting and the metrics used for different types of reporting
- Support any testing of outputs from new climate models and adhoc requests

**The skills you'll need**:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need experience in delivering core financial control and reporting outputs, including ledger close, balance sheet substantiation, statutory and management reporting and external audit. You’ll have experience in a financial services environment and knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards, and ideally a CA, ICWA, MBA finance qualification or IFRS certification.

We’ll also look to you to bring:

- An understanding of accounting flows and entries and the impact on financial statements
- The ability to identify, build and enhance key relationships at a senior level, influencing and challenging as required
- An understanding of data flows within an IT infrastructure and systems and the impacts on the reconciliations
- Experience of investigating and probing issues with cross-business impact
- Excellent analytical, root cause analysis and reporting skills
