- Job Summary:_
- The counter staff is responsible for greeting customers, processing transactions, answering inquiries, and ensuring a smooth and positive experience for customers. This role often requires handling cash, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, and providing information on products or services._
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Customer Service:_
- Greet customers warmly and engage them in a friendly, approachable manner._
- Assist customers with inquiries, complaints, and service requests._
- Provide information about products, services, promotions, or procedures._
- Transaction Processing:_
- Process cash, card, and digital transactions accurately._
- Handle cash registers, balance tills, and ensure correct change is given._
- Maintain accurate records of daily transactions and reconcile receipts._
- Product or Service Assistance:_
- Recommend or upsell products/services that may benefit customers._
- Demonstrate basic product or service knowledge to assist customers in making decisions._
- Handle or prepare orders as per customer requests in settings like restaurants or retail counters._
- Inventory and Stock Maintenance:_
- Monitor and restock products or supplies on display or within reach of the counter._
- Notify supervisors about low inventory levels or items that require reordering._
- Cleanliness and Organization:_
- Keep the counter area clean, organized, and presentable at all times._
- Ensure promotional materials, signs, and product displays are up-to-date and orderly._
- Compliance and Safety:_
- Follow company policies regarding transactions, refunds, and exchanges._
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, especially in food or retail settings._
- Qualifications:_
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training is a plus._
- Previous customer service or cash-handling experience preferred._
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills._

Skills Required:
Customer Service Skills: Positive attitude, patience, and ability to handle difficult situations calmly.

Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing transactions and managing cash.

Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean, orderly counter and prioritize tasks.

Communication Skills: Clear and friendly communication, with the ability to understand and respond to customer needs."

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹16,480.96 per month
