Qualifications : B.Sc Physician Assistant

Work Experience : Freshers or Experienced

To check for list of appointments in OPD on a given day.

After patient's arrival, take the medical history and enter in the patient's questionnaire form.

To check the discharge summary of post - operative follow up patients and order investigations, keep the same ready prior to OPD consultation.

To coordinate with treatment room staff and keep all dressing materials ready and then shift the patient to the treatment room and inform the consultant. The PA must not give instructions to the treatment room staff rather the PA must visit the treatment room and make arrangement of the consumables required for the procedure in coordination with the nurse in charge.

To perform minor dressings, administer injections (1M only) and report to the consultant.

To assist the consultant while major procedures in the treatment room. (E.g major dressings, suturing, wound closure, POP removal, etc.)

Tp prepare notes for review patients prior to consultation.

To visit the Emergency unit and check for patients with ortho ailment and inform consultants accordingly.

To visit the recovery room and assess post operative patients, follow orders from other specialties (E.g. Anesthetist, Cardiologist, etc)

To closely coordinate with the ortho OT staff/Patient service Manager in booking the operation theatre, obtain billing clearance and inform the concerned.

To prepare pre authorization forms in coordination with the patient service manager/Institute line manager for cashless facility.

To capture the OPD case notes in the online hospital information system.

To contact the discharge patients a day after scheduled date of check for their wellbeing, issues if any, collec5t feedback and inform respective consultants/Institute Line Manager.
