As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced CAM Programmer to join our engineering team. This role will play a crucial part in driving efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing processes. **Responsibilities**:
**1. Develop and implement efficient CAM programs**: Work closely with engineering and production teams to convert 2D and 3D CAD designs into efficient CAM programs using software such as Siemens NX, Mastercam, or Delcam.
**2. Program complex CNC machines**: Create programs that optimize the use of CNC machines by selecting appropriate tool paths, machining strategies, and cutting parameters.
**3. Conduct feasibility studies**: Analyze design specifications, blueprints, and production requirements to determine the feasibility of manufacturing components in terms of tooling, machining processes, and manufacturing times.
**4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams**: Liaise with engineers, technicians, and production workers to identify potential manufacturing issues and provide updates on program status and progress.
**5. Continuous process improvement**: Identify areas for process improvement and suggest modifications to optimize CNC machining operations, reduce scrap, enhance productivity, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.
**6. Maintain program documentation**: Accurately document all programs, updates, revisions, and troubleshooting steps to ensure up-to-date records and ease future referencing.
**7. Quality assurance**: Conduct thorough verification and post-processing checks to ensure accuracy, adherence to quality standards, and compliance with design specifications.
**8. Training and support**: Provide technical support and training to manufacturing personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of CAM program software.

**Requirements**:
**1. Education**: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related discipline.
**2. CAM software proficiency**: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CAM software such as Siemens NX, Mastercam, SolidCAM, or similar.
**3. Technical skills**: Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.) and good understanding of CNC machining principles and parameters.
**4. Experience**: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a CAM Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
**5. Problem-solving abilities**: Excellent analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot CNC programming issues and propose effective solutions.
**6. Attention to detail**: Meticulous approach to work with a focus on precision, accuracy, and adherence to tight tolerances.
**7. Communication skills**: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts clearly.
**8. Adaptability and time management**: Ability to manage multiple priorities and work towards deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
