**Role**:
Teach Spanish to non-native and near-native speakers, 12-18 years.

Teach International Baccalaureate (IB) Beginner, Standard, and Higher-Level Spanish Language B curriculum Teach International Baccalaureate Spanish Ab Initio curriculum. Preparation for IB Spanish Standard Level examination: functional Spanish, applied grammar and composition on a variety of topics, conversation, and oral presentations.

Preparation for IB Spanish Higher-Level examination: language and literature.

Teach the history of Spanish literature with an emphasis on modern literature and selected literary works, literary skills, including text handling and written and oral presentations.

**Qualifications & Experiences**:
**Required Qualifications**:
A teacher of MYP and DP Spanish should have:

- B.A. (or equivalent) in Spanish Language and Literature, M.A. desirable
- Teacher Certification, B.Ed. (or equivalent) from a full-time program with a practicum or student teaching component
- At least three years of full-time classroom experience teaching Spanish in an accredited school
- International Baccalaureate experience

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- An advanced degree - Masters, PGCE or equivalent
- IB Spanish training
- Recent and relevant professional development in teaching and learning

**Preferred Experiences**:

- Successful experience teaching MYP and/or DP Spanish
- Proven commitment to participate in and establish collaborative structure
- Experience utilizing data to make informed instructional decisions
- Experience utilising technology tools to enhance student learning
- Understand the developmental characteristics, differences in learning styles and intelligence and adapt lesson planning and teaching appropriately
