**Position Overview**
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with expertise in medical terminology, coding standards, and healthcare compliance to ensure accurate coding, billing, and documentation.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Medical Record Analysis**:

- Review and interpret patient medical records, including physician notes, lab reports, and treatment plans.
- Ensure documentation supports assigned codes with accuracy.
- **Coding and Documentation**:

- Assign accurate medical codes using **ICD-10, CPT®, and HCPCS systems**.
- Document critical patient information such as diagnoses, procedures, and treatment plans.
- Stay updated on evolving coding guidelines, standards, and healthcare regulations.
- **Billing and Claims**:

- Collaborate with billing teams to ensure timely and accurate claims submission.
- Address and resolve coding-related discrepancies in billing processes.
- **Compliance and Auditing**:

- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, coding standards, and organizational policies.
- Participate in internal audits to uphold coding accuracy and minimize errors.
- **Data Analysis**:

- Provide reliable coding for healthcare statistics and disease trend tracking.
- Support patient data analysis for reporting and research initiatives.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., **CPC, CCS, or equivalent**).
- Proficient knowledge of **ICD-10, CPT®, and HCPCS** coding systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations, billing, and compliance standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
