**Job Overview**:
The Receptionist and Gym Help Desk Coordinator serves as the first point of contact for members and visitors, ensuring excellent customer service while efficiently managing reception and gym-related tasks. This role involves handling inquiries, supporting gym operations, and fostering a welcoming and organized environment.
**Key Responsibilities:Reception and Front Desk Duties**:
- **Greet and Welcome Visitors**:
- Warmly welcome members and visitors to the gym.
- Ensure a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
- **Manage Communication**:
- Provide information about membership options, class schedules, and services.
- **Membership Management**:
- Assist with new member sign-ups and renewals.
- Process payments and maintain accurate records of transactions.
- **Scheduling and Bookings**:
- Handle class reservations and personal training appointments.
- Update and manage the gym’s calendar.
**Gym-Related Responsibilities**:
- **Help Desk Support**:
- Assist members with questions about equipment usage or gym policies.
- Provide quick troubleshooting for minor equipment issues and escalate major problems to the appropriate team.
- **Facility Monitoring**:
- Ensure the gym area is clean and organized.
- Coordinate with maintenance and cleaning staff to address facility needs promptly.
- **Promote Gym Activities**:
- Share updates about events, classes, and promotions.
- Encourage member participation in gym activities and programs.
**Administrative Tasks**:
- Maintain updated records of memberships and attendance.
- Generate daily or weekly reports on gym activities and front desk operations.
- Order and track inventory for gym supplies as needed.
**Customer Service**:
- Resolve member concerns and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Regularly gather feedback to improve gym services and member satisfaction.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent (additional training in customer service is a plus).
- **Experience**: Prior experience in a receptionist or customer service role; experience in a gym or fitness-related environment is preferred.
- **Skills**:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and gym management software (if applicable).
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of fitness equipment and exercises is advantageous.
**Work Environment**:
- This position requires standing or sitting for extended periods.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be necessary.
