**Job Description - Store Keeper (Raw Material & Job Work)**

**Department**: Stores & Inventory
**Reporting To**: Store Manager / Plant Head

**Job Purpose**:
To manage day-to-day operations of raw material stores and handle incoming/outgoing materials related to job work. Ensure proper documentation, inventory tracking, and material movement for smooth production and fabrication processes.

**Key Responsibilities:1. Raw Material Store Handling**
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials such as SS/MS sheets, pipes, bars, angles, flats, fasteners, and other fabrication items.
- Ensure proper tagging, stacking, and binning of materials as per category.
- Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note) records and match with purchase orders.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or slow-moving items.

**2. Issue & Tracking**
- Issue raw materials to production/fabrication as per Material Requisition Slip (MRS) or BOM.
- Record all material issues with proper job numbers or project codes.
- Track returns or unused material and re-stock accordingly.

**3. Job Work Material Movement**
- Prepare and dispatch material to vendors for external job work (e.g., laser cutting, machining, bending).
- Maintain detailed records of material sent out and received back.
- Ensure correct documentation: Job work challan, gate pass, vendor acknowledgement, etc.
- Follow up with vendors for timely return of processed items.

**4. Documentation & Recordkeeping**
- Maintain manual and/or ERP-based records of receipts, issues, returns, and job work transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit and traceability.
- Coordinate with accounts for vendor job work billing and reconciliation.

**5. Coordination**
- Work closely with Purchase, Production, and Quality teams for smooth material flow.
- Assist in stock verification and physical inventory audits.
- Coordinate with transporters and vendors during material loading/unloading.

**Key Skills & Competencies**:

- Basic knowledge of engineering raw materials and hardware.
- Familiarity with job work processes (fabrication, machining, cutting).
- Record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to handle physical inventory and material movement.
- ERP or inventory software knowledge preferred.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Education**: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in any discipline.
- **Experience**: 2-5 years in stores or warehouse management in engineering/fabrication industry.

**Working Conditions**:

- On-site store and yard-based work.
- May require physical handling of materials with team.
- Coordination across shifts and departments.
- Occasional overtime during peak dispatch or receipt periods.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
