Interior Trims

**Job Profile**:

- Responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering sub system meetings to ensure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
- Establishing the teamwork plan
- Design expertise of Automotive Interior Trims components (Door Trims, Pillar trims, Headliner, Carpet and insulations etc.), Lead the design engineer team and Providing engineering solution during design of Trim components aggregates, engineering feasibility checks. Int and Ext Trims - hard and Soft both
- Program delivery planning and execution Concept design, Master sections Customer alignment for Due date, forecast and resource planning
- Ensuring progress is made by following up actions with their owners
- Publishing minutes from each meeting
- Ensuring that the engineering sub-system delivers its objectives and targets (technical and business)
- Maintain team level SLI and discuss with Counterpart / System architect for open points and share regularly
- To work on development plan to continuously improve the skill sets for self and Team
- Identify training needs for the team members based on their skill matrix
- Ensuring that programmes timing objectives are met
- Team planning for leaves, project deliverables, forecast& shift planning for team & reporting it to PM in advance.
- Communicating team progress to management
- Ensuring that issues are addressed and closed off
- Ensuring that issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Module Leader
- Identifying all risks to the programmes
- At the end of a program, make appropriate capitalization documents (Lessons learned, Technical Reports) to feed/improve Design and Development standards and guidelines
- Responsible for Quality Audit
- Follow the systems and procedures of TTL/customer

**Skills**:
Essential:

- Responsible for detail product design according to OEM specifications, standards and guidelines
- Translate defined product design performance criteria in CAD data & specifications
- Masters specific areas of complete Seat, Frame, Plastic, Foam and Accessories of a given technology
- Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery on time & budget within a product development environment
- Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements
- Significant experience in use of engineering tools DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance stack up, DVP, understanding of mold flow etc.
- Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels & documentation skills
- PC Literacy: Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc.
- Significant experience on design of plastic products - Automotive interior trims
- Successful history of delivery within the automotive product development sector
- Advanced knowledge of CAD software including CATIA, NX & knowledge of TeamCenter
- Methodology, best practices and tooling knowledge of plastic parts
- Analytical, logical and critical thinking ability
- Pleasing personality, positive attitude. Passion for learning, training and mentoring
- Excellent communications skills, demonstrated ability to communicate at all levels & documentation skills

**Education**:Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical / Automobile / relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience

**Domain of experience**:Experience in Automotive Interiors IP / Console Design & Development**
