Technology Architect - Storage Presales

This role has been designated as ‘Edge’, which means you will primarily work outside of an HPE office.

Key Storage Presales Responsibilities:_**
- Maintains excellent communication with customers at the C-level and delivers workshops to deepen understanding of the proposed technical solution and its financial impact.
- Engages the full portfolio of partners to extend reach, enhance knowledge, and leverage resources, relationships, and technical solutions, to accomplish goals. Partner together to identify gaps and address needs to accelerate channel business.
- Sets direction and delivers guidance to improve processes and establish policies that enhance business strategies.
- Monitors the changing competitive landscape and effectively counters competitor value propositions. Increases the company's share of wallet through competitive takeout, demonstrating technical superiority, and leveraging other company services for better TCO/ROI.
- Works to build a reputation and personal "brand" inside the company and externally by assisting peers through blogs, and white papers, participating in conferences, and by effectively utilizing social media.

**_ Education and Experience:_**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or from a technical university.
- Master's or advanced degree in technology preferred.

**_ Knowledge and Skills:_**
- Demonstrates mastery of technical skills in the field of Cloud and Data Industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the key industry solutions aspects of Backup and Recovery, Data Storage, and Business Continuity planning.
- Mastery of executive written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate in English and local languages.
- Demonstrates outstanding consultative selling techniques, including active listening, framing, whiteboarding, storytelling, etc.
- Adept at using social media, blogging, and related information-sharing technologies
- Expert knowledge of Backup and recovery solutions using different OEMs like Commvault / Veeam / Micro-focus etc. while covering the various data protection attributes of business continuity, SLAs for protection and restoration, Hands-on experience, Cloud data protection, etc.
- Has successfully completed knowledge-based as well as one or more experienced-based industry certifications, primarily on VMware Suite of Products, Certifications at least from one of the OEM like HPE / Netapp / Dell-EMC / Hitachi / Pure Storage, etc.
- Excellent AI skills or experience with excellent analytical tools. Hands-on experience with Container solutions would be preferred.
- Deep business and financial acumen and the ability to engage customers in strategic financial conversations.
- Experience participating in solution configurations and the creation of PoCs to meet customer requirements.
- Excellent knowledge of Hybrid-IT and Cloud solutions from various providers like AWS / Azure and GCP. Certification would be preferred.
- Fair knowledge of Software Defined storage, HCI, and Object storage solutions is preferred.
