**Job Summary**:
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will be responsible for the effective functioning and growth of the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO). The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors to implement project activities, expand shareholder base, maintain transparent records, and drive business operations, including procurement, sales, and customer engagement. The CEO will ensure that all activities align with organizational goals and project guidelines.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:
- **Governance & Compliance**:
- Organize Board of Directors meetings and training sessions as per project and statutory requirements.
- Support the Board in strategic decision-making and policy implementation.
- **Community Mobilization & Shareholder Engagement**:
- Mobilize the community to increase shareholder participation and promote inclusivity.
- Educate farmers on the benefits of being a part of the FPO.
- **Project Implementation & Record Maintenance**:
- Ensure smooth execution of project activities in line with approved plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project activities and FPO operations.
- **Sales, Marketing & Customer Engagement**:
- Generate sales and resales by engaging effectively with existing and potential customers.
- Promote strong, long-lasting relationships with consumers and farmers by understanding their needs and offering suitable products/services.
- **Inventory & Supply Chain Management**:
- Book orders in advance from suppliers to maintain optimal inventory based on market demand.
- Coordinate procurement, storage, and timely delivery of goods.
- **Financial & Business Record Management**:
- Maintain FPO sales and business transaction records in accordance with accounting norms and compliance requirements.
- Ensure transparency and proper documentation for audits and reporting.
- **Business Growth & Strategy**:
- Identify new business opportunities and build market linkages.
- Work towards enhancing the profitability and sustainability of the FPO.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Graduate in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Management, or related fields (Master’s preferred).
- 6month
- 1 year of experience in community mobilization, agri-business, or rural enterprise development.
- Understanding of FPO operations, rural markets, and value chain management.
