Mainframe Modernization Sr Architect / Architect (Solution) - PAN INDIA Opening

Key Responsibilities:

- This role will need expertise to drive solutions and customizing them for client context along with the long-term transformation roadmap in RFP, Proactive pursuits and other Customer requests related to Mainframe modernization
- Create Solution document (word / ppt) along with effort and duration estimates
- This role would also require to interface and collaborate with SLS, CRM, BD, GSA, Delivery team and Solution team from other Service Lines in pursuits
- Understanding of standard estimation methodologies for Application Development projects.

Required Capabilities/Skills/Years of Experience:

- Mainframe Technologies: (10- 15 years)
- Expertise in mainframe programming languages such as COBOL, PL/I, Assembler.
- Deep understanding of mainframe environments (z/OS, IMS, CICS, TSO, JCL).
- Expertise with mainframe databases (e.g., DB2, IMS DB) and modern databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).

Good to Have Capabilities/Skills
- Nice technologies:

- Experience in niche technologies such as ADSO/IDMS, NATURAL/ADABAS, IDEAL/DATACOM
- Modernization Tools and Techniques: (Microfocus, Astadia, Blue Age, Heirloom, TSRI - any of this )
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies for mainframe-to-cloud migrations.
- Familiarity with re-platforming, re-hosting, re-factoring and re-engineering legacy systems.
- Cloud Platforms:

- Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, especially those relevant for mainframe migration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- DevOps and Agile Methodologies:

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Application Integration:

- Knowledge about data migration processes and tools.
- Security and Compliance:

- Knowledge of security best practices for both mainframe and cloud environments.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization:

- Skills in optimizing mainframe performance and efficiently transitioning to modern platforms.
- Domain/Industry
- An understanding of all the domains and high level capabilities
