As a Chemistry Lab Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the chemistry department of our school by assisting students during practical sessions. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth functioning of the chemistry laboratory, promoting a safe and conducive learning environment for students. This position involves preparing lab materials, conducting equipment maintenance, and offering general support to both faculty and students in their learning endeavors.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and set up laboratory equipment and materials prior to each chemistry class, ensuring that all necessary chemicals and apparatus are readily available and in good working condition.
- Assist the teacher in conducting demonstrations and experiments, as well as guiding students in their practical activities.
- Promote laboratory safety by enforcing safety rules and guidelines, ensuring proper handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, and monitoring students' adherence to safety protocols.
- Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and work areas regularly to guarantee a safe, organized, and hygienic learning environment.
- Order, receive, and stock laboratory supplies as needed, keeping track of inventory levels and communicating with the chemistry department for reordering purposes.
- Assist in the preparation and formulation of chemical solutions and reagents required for various experiments and demonstrations.
- Provide technical support to students, helping them with laboratory procedures, data recording, and analysis.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues with laboratory equipment, seeking assistance from the appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Document experimental procedures, results, and observations accurately to contribute to lab reports and records.
- Collaborate with the chemistry faculty to ensure that the laboratory curriculum aligns with the overall educational goals and objectives of the school.
- Participate in safety training sessions and professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills relevant to the role.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students' interest and engagement in chemistry.

Qualifications:

- Educational Background: A degree in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
- Laboratory Experience: Prior experience in a chemistry laboratory setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic chemistry principles, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
