**Job Summary**:
The pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications to patients, providing pharmaceutical care, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and offering advice on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications. Pharmacists collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes through accurate medication therapy management.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Medication Dispensing and Preparation**:

- Accurately dispense prescribed medications, ensuring correct dosage, labeling, and instructions.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of compound medications when needed.
- Monitor patient medication profiles to avoid harmful drug interactions or allergies.
- **Pharmaceutical Care**:

- Provide counseling and education to patients on proper medication use, side effects, and storage.
- Offer advice on over-the-counter medications, supplements, and other treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and ensure effective medication therapy.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Ensure that all prescriptions meet legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
- Manage the safe storage and inventory of medications, including controlled substances, and ensure proper disposal of expired or unused drugs.
- **Clinical Services**:

- Administer immunizations and vaccinations as per certification.
- Conduct health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes checks.
- Participate in medication therapy management (MTM) programs, including reviewing patients’ drug regimens and suggesting adjustments.
- **Customer Service**:

- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues regarding medications, refills, or health conditions.
- Build strong relationships with patients to improve adherence to treatment plans.
- **Administrative and Supervisory Duties**:

- Manage pharmacy technicians and interns, providing guidance and supervision as needed.
- Assist with inventory control, order processing, and procurement of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Handle insurance claims and billing issues related to prescriptions.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- **Licensure**: Must hold an active and valid pharmacist license in the state/country of practice.
- **Certifications**: Additional certifications (e.g., immunization, MTM) may be required depending on the job role.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy is preferred but not always required.
- **Skills**:

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug interactions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
- Proficient in pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR).

**Working Conditions**:

- Work may be in a retail, hospital, or clinical setting.
- Pharmacists may need to stand for long periods and work shifts that include evenings, weekends, or holidays, depending on the facility.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹36,000.00 per month
