**About the Role**
A billing assistant is responsible for creating invoices and credit memos, updating customer files, and sending invoices and payment reminders to customers. They are responsible for timely and accurate billing to ensure that customer payments are made on time. Their primary interaction outside the business is with customers. Internally, they deal with the Client Coordinator.
**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Review revenues and costs of a job and prepare an invoice per quotation or contracts
- Coordinate with clients and branches for missing vouchers or any sort of billing issues
- Ensure billing related queries are resolved within 24 hours or escalated to the appropriate person
- Maintain billing status report and send the same to the business heads daily
- Update system billing report weekly
- Ensure all costs and revenues are recorded and job closure is done in a timely fashion
- Understand the operational aspects of billing, review the SOPs and provide improvements to the process
- Timely preparation of bills for clients and branches.
- After receiving Memos from client coordination team, enter all details in excel sheet.
- Make bills for clients.
- Prepare cover letter and dispatch bills of all clients.
**Requirements**:
- Experience with 2-3 years in Accounts billing profile
- Experience within the logistics sector is a plus
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce.
- Specialized knowledge: Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft office and Oracle systems
- Skills: Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills, presentation skills, strong quantitative and analytical competency, ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow, eye for details, comfort dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work independently, experienced.
