Job Position: Civil Draughtsman

Years of experience: 2-6 years

This role involves translating the ideas and designs of engineers into precise technical drawings using CAD software. The Civil Draughtsman ensures that all drawings meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Technical Drawing and Drafting**:

- Prepare detailed drawings for civil engineering projects, including site plans, structural designs, and layouts.
- Convert sketches, designs, and specifications from engineers into accurate technical drawings.
- Create and modify drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with engineers, architects, and other team members to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss and resolve design issues.
- Communicate effectively with construction teams to ensure drawings are correctly interpreted and implemented.
- **Quality Control and Assurance**:

- Ensure that all drawings comply with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers and project managers.
- Conduct regular checks and updates to ensure the accuracy and consistency of drawings.
- **Documentation and Records Management**:

- Maintain organized records of all drawings, plans, and project documents.
- Update and archive drawings as necessary to reflect changes and revisions.
- Prepare documentation for permits, approvals, and construction activities.
- **Site Visits and Inspections**:

- Conduct site visits to gather data and verify measurements.
- Provide support during site inspections to ensure that construction work aligns with technical drawings.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, software advancements, and best practices in civil drafting.
- Suggest improvements to drafting processes and standards to enhance efficiency and quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

- **Education**: Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 2-6 years of experience as a draughtsman in civil engineering or construction.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- **Analytical Skills**: Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- **Communication**: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to identify and resolve design issues effectively.
- **Certifications**: Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CAD certification) are advantageous.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
