Job Description: Mechanical Fitter (Gas and Piping Industry)

**Responsibilities**:
1. Assembly and Installation:

- Assemble and install mechanical components, fittings, and piping systems according

to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Ensure proper alignment, fit, and functionality of components during assembly and

installation processes.
- Knowledge of toolroom activity, knowledge of Jigs and Fixtures

2. Machining and Fabrication:

- Perform machining operations such as drilling, tapping, and milling to fabricate metal

parts and components as required.
- Operate basic machining tools and equipment in the toolroom to achieve desired

dimensions and finishes.
- Should have knowledge of machines setting of process selection for special

operation

3. Maintenance and Repair:

- Conduct routine maintenance and repair tasks on machinery, equipment, and piping

systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, diagnose problems, and implement corrective

measures to minimize downtime.
- Handling of preventive and break down maintenance.

4. Safety and Compliance:

- Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries,

and occupational hazards in the workplace.
- Follow relevant regulations, codes, and standards applicable to the gas and piping

industry, including those related to machining and fabrication.

**Requirements**:
1. ITI certification or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Fitting or related field.

2. Knowledge and experience in machining operations, including drilling, tapping, and basic

milling.

3. Familiarity with basic machining tools and equipment, such as lathes, drills, and milling

machines.

4. Understanding of basic fitting and assembly techniques for mechanical components and

piping systems.

5. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

6. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work

independently or as part of a team.

7. Prior experience in a gas and piping company or tool room or similar industrial setting is

advantageous.

8. Location: Talawade, Pune.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
