**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Health Services**:

- Assess and treat student injuries, illnesses, and medical conditions during school hours.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments as directed by physicians and/or parents.
- Provide first aid and emergency care as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for all students, including immunization records, medical histories, and health assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHCP) for students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies).
- **Health Education & Promotion**:

- Promote wellness initiatives and educate students and staff about health, hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Provide guidance and support to students on managing mental health and emotional well-being.
- **Health Screening & Compliance**:

- Conduct routine health screenings (e.g., vision, hearing, scoliosis, and BMI) and follow up with students as needed.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations, including immunization requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of student health information and comply with privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA).
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work with teachers, administrators, and counselors to support students’ health needs and assist with addressing health-related barriers to learning.
- Serve as a liaison between parents, healthcare providers, and the school community to coordinate care.
- Advise and support school staff on health-related issues and policies.
- **Emergency Preparedness**:

- Assist in developing and implementing emergency protocols related to medical situations, including allergies, seizures, and other health crises.
- Participate in emergency drills and be prepared to respond to medical emergencies as needed.
- **Other Duties**:

- Keep up to date with the latest health-related trends, resources, and best practices.
- Participate in school meetings and committees related to health and wellness.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- **Experience**:

- At least 2 years of nursing experience, with preference for experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or public health.
- Experience in dealing with childhood illnesses, injuries, and emergencies is preferred.
- **Certifications**:

- CPR and First Aid certification (required).
- Certification in School Nursing (preferred but not required).
- **Skills**:

- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of state and federal health regulations affecting schools.

**Working Conditions**:

- Office-based with regular interactions with students, staff, and parents.
- Occasional outdoor activities or events, such as field trips, may require on-the-spot medical attention.
- Must be able to handle the physical demands of the position, including the ability to lift and assist students in need.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
