**Key Responsibilities**:

- Reviews loan files submitted for borrowers to ensure file meets loan program requirements. Includes analysis of loan
- Review of mortgage loan files including; income (inclusive of rental income
- IRA, annuity and 401K), assets, credit and collateral appraisal reports, collateral and supporting documentation
- Resolve pre and post-closing issues as they relate to underwriting
- Analyze income from salaried, commissioned, self-employed, investment and fixed income sources
- Complete POA review
- Utilize client’s loan operating system to ensure accurate data entry
- Conditions files for missing/supporting documentation
- Revisits loans to review and clear conditions as documents are received
- Escalates potential fraud files to Credit Manager / Risk Management team
- Communicate status and decisions (approval, suspense, denial) to the appropriate individuals in accordance with company
- Manually underwrite loans in accordance with client guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service to internal clients by demonstrating expertise, accuracy, thoroughness, thoughtfulness, politeness, enthusiasm and clearly conveying requirements in written format
- Update system with all appropriate information
- Interpret policies and program requirements while analyzing applicant information, property and documentation

**Skills Required**:

- Minimum 2+ years of current experience in U.S. Mortgage with Underwriting experience
- Knowledge of appraisal and title, and ability to recognize red flags and ineligible properties
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Able to prioritize multiple competing tasks and manage time effective in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to obtain NMLS-MLO Licenses preferred
- Ability to adheres to directives, procedures and standards
- Ability to work in a paperless environment
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Product Suite

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Any Graduate
- 2 + Years of experience in US mortgage and underwriting

**Salary**: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Night shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
