A Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the dining area. Stewards play an essential role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and hygienic environment for the kitchen and food service teams.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Dining Area Cleaning**:

- Clean and sanitize kitchen floors, walls, and work surfaces to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Clean trash bins and remove garbage from kitchen and dining areas to maintain cleanliness and prevent odour.
- Assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms, break areas, and other public spaces, as required.
- **Cleaning Equipment and Maintenance**:

- Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs of equipment to supervisors or the maintenance team.
- Ensure that cleaning supplies (detergents, sanitizers, etc.) are well-stocked and stored properly.
- **Inventory and Stock Management**:

- Assist in managing dining area supplies, including cleaning chemicals and dishware.
- Ensure that cutlery and other kitchenware are readily available and well-organized.
- Help receive deliveries of supplies and assist with inventory tracking or stock rotation.
- **Supporting Kitchen Operations**:

- Assist kitchen staff by cleaning prep areas and supporting food preparation as needed.
- Help with storing food ingredients and supplies in proper areas to ensure safety and quality.
- Assist in the set-up and breakdown of kitchen or banquet events.
- Provide additional assistance during peak hours, including restocking utensils or clearing tables.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines in accordance with local health department regulations.
- Ensure the proper handling and disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental and safety standards.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear proper protective clothing (e.g., gloves, apron) when working with cleaning chemicals or dishwashing.
- **General Support**:

- Assist with miscellaneous duties as directed by kitchen or restaurant supervisors, including assisting servers or other kitchen staff during busy periods.
- Respond to emergencies, such as spills or accidents, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Help maintain a positive and efficient team atmosphere by working well with other kitchen and service staff.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a steward or waiter.
- Basic understanding of serving food and understanding of the menu.
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on cleanliness and safety.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing, lifting, and carrying heavy items.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Basic knowledge of food & beverage service and sanitation standards.
- Previous experience in a food service environment or hospitality industry.

**Work Environment**:

- The steward works in a commercial kitchen, which is fast-paced and may involve working under pressure.
- The role involves standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and working in varying temperatures.
- Hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on the business’s operating hours.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
