- As a Data Architect III at JPMorgan Chase within the Payments Chief Data Office, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for creating and managing the Payment Domain’s Business Data Glossary and Business Information Models. You will collaborate with product and technology partners to design scalable data solutions, ensuring they align with business needs. This role offers the opportunity to engage with technical teams and business stakeholders, propose innovative information architecture solutions, and lead communities of practice to promote modern technologies. Job responsibilities_**
- _ Works with product owners and business SMEs to understand functional and data requirements for implementations in order to build Logical Data Models that reflect requirements and can be used by technologists to build solutions that are fit for purpose_
- _ Actively looks to expand and mature the content of the Business Information Models by leveraging analysis and modelling done on implementations_
- _ Works with the Information Architecture leadership to ensure best practice data modelling standards & guidelines are followed by BIMs and implementation LDMs_
- _ Engages technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose information architecture approaches to meet current and future needs_
- _ Participates in information architecture governance bodies_
- _ Evaluates information architecture recommendations and provides feedback to stakeholders_
- _ Executes creative information architecture solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions and break down technical problems_
- _ Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues_
- _ Facilitates evaluation sessions of data models with relevant stakeholders to drive positive outcomes through probing of functional & data requirements, definitions and validation rules_
- _ Leads information architecture communities of practice to drive awareness and use of modern information architecture technologies_
- _ Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect_
- _**_Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills_**
- _ Formal training or certification on Computing Science concepts and 3+ years applied experience._
- _ 8 + years’ experience as an Information or Data Architect_
- _ Hands-on practical experience delivering Logical Data Models_
- _ Hands-on practical experience of Logical Data Modelling Tools_
- _ Hands-on practical experience of Business & Data Analysis techniques_
- _ Exposure to Industry Data Models from Payments domain_
- _ Experience in building Common Data Model’s _
- _Advanced knowledge of architecture & Exposure to other Data management functional area_
- _ Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle. In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems_
- _ Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best information architecture solutions for the future state architecture_

**_ Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills_**
- _ Working knowledge of MagicDraw and Erwin or other data modelling tools_
- _ Knowledge of UML & ER modelling methods_
- _ Knowledge of Wholesale Payments business_
- _ Knowledge of Domain Driven Design_
