**About the Organization**

Deepalaya started in 1979 with 7 founding members with the objective of educating not-so-privileged children. Over the years, our focus has expanded from providing education only to children to helping underprivileged women, youth and children become self-reliant through education and vocational training.

Deepalaya is the largest operational NGO that has established projects across Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Telangana. We have been working for four decades and contributing to the crusade against illiteracy. “Every child deserves a chance is what Deepalaya strongly believes in and has been working towards it.

Over the years, Deepalaya has established several projects in the areas of Education (Formal/Non-Formal/Remedial), Women Empowerment (Reproductive Health, Self Help Groups, Livelihood, Microfinance), Institutional Care, Community Health, ECCD, Vocational Training, Environmental Sustainability and Differently Abled. These projects are operational across India.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- B.A/ M.A in English or B.Ed
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in teaching English
- Must have excellent English pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar skills
- Working Experience with the NGO sector will be preferred
- Team skills and ability to relate with Children

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Planning course material and activities
- Assessing the students’ progress (e.g. homework, exam grades, etc.)
- Preparing reports on the performance of the students
- Finding innovative methods to teach
- Regular progress monitoring of the students
- Encourage students in English speaking fluency
- Building trusting relationships with students, parents and other staff
- Participating in staff, group or other meetings
- Giving motivating and interesting lessons to your students
- Guiding students to take part in different competitive examinations Interaction with parents & discussion with individual parents during P.T.A meetings.
- Approaching families (in the community) of drop out children or other cases.
- Regular community mobilization & organizing community meetings

**DOCUMENTATION AND RECORD KEEPING**:

- Submitting individual reports timely
- Updation of Activities Register timely
- Keeping the Attendance Register Updated.
- Document the work-related details like students profile, case studies, etc.

**OTHERS**:

- Adherence to Deepalaya ethics, systems & procedures
- Any other responsibility as assigned by management.

Full time job
- (8.5 hours daily ) 6 days working, Monday to Saturday.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
