Floriculturist

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Plan and oversee the cultivation, propagation, and maintenance of flowers and ornamental plants.
- Monitor and control factors such as soil conditions, irrigation, nutrition, pest, and disease control, and environmental conditions to promote optimal plant growth and health.
- Develop and implement plant care schedules, including pruning, fertilization, and pest control measures.
- Coordinate and execute planting, transplanting, and harvesting activities as per appropriate seasons and plant requirements.
- Monitor and manage greenhouse or nursery operations to ensure the availability of healthy plants for sale or exhibition.
- Conduct research to enhance plant growth, yield, and quality, including experimentation with new varieties, cultivation techniques, and pest control methods.
- Collaborate with other researchers, horticulturalists, and plant breeders to develop new plant varieties and improve existing ones.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, landscapers, or individuals on plant selection, landscape design, and maintenance techniques.
- Assist customers in identifying and resolving plant-related issues, such as pest infestations, diseases, or nutrient deficiencies.
- Offer recommendations on suitable plants for specific environments, taking into account factors such as climate, soil conditions, and desired aesthetics.
- Maintain accurate records of plant growth, treatments, and cultivation practices.
- Prepare reports and documentation on research findings, experiments, and plant care procedures.
- Keep track of inventory, including plant stock, fertilizers, pesticides, and other necessary supplies.

**Salary**: ₹240,000.00 - ₹360,000.00 per year
