Lab Technician

**Job Summary**:
The Lab Technician is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the chemical and physical parameters of the pre-treatment and powder coating processes to ensure product quality and compliance with internal specifications. The role involves daily testing, process validation, equipment maintenance, and quality reporting.

**Key Responsibilities**:Daily Duties**:

- Ensure cleanliness and readiness of the lab, equipment, and instruments.
- Check water level in the pre-treatment bath and refill with RO1 and RO2 water as required.
- Conduct titration tests to verify total alkalinity and total acid levels in the bath.
- Add chemicals to the bath (powder mixed in RO water, liquid added directly) based on test results.
- Always use safety gear (goggles and gloves) when handling chemicals.
- Record chemical values and temperature hourly in the in-process report with graph updates.
- Monitor powder coating process parameters hourly and record them.
- Inspect incoming raw materials for excess oil, dents, rust, or damages before allowing pre-treatment.
- Ensure no yellow stains or powder deposits on treated materials; white layer must be visible on nail scratch.
- Inspect final coated materials for defects like blistering, rundown, or ooze-out and initiate corrective action if needed.

**Testing & Quality Control**:

- Perform coating thickness, gloss level, adhesion, and hot water tests as per daily plan.
- Check TDS and pH of input water (RO1 & RO2).
- Monitor salt spray test chamber conditions (air pressure, spray pressure, pH value) daily.
- Ensure lab instruments are functioning properly and documented.
- Verify pre-treatment cycle time weekly.

- **Corrosion Resistance (Salt Spray Test)** - As per monthly plan, monitor every 24 hours
