**Job Description - Security Guard**

**Location**: SGT University & SGT Hospital

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct routine patrolling of designated areas within the university and hospital premises to identify and deter suspicious or unauthorized activities.
- Monitor and control access to university buildings, hospital facilities, and restricted zones by verifying credentials and issuing visitor/vehicle passes as required.
- Manage the issuance of vehicle passes for hospital visitors in accordance with established procedures.
- Supervise entrances and exits to ensure unauthorized individuals do not gain access to campus or hospital premises.
- Respond swiftly and appropriately to emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, and security breaches.
- Promptly report any security-related incidents, disturbances, or violations of institutional policies to the concerned authority.
- Assist in safe and orderly evacuation of buildings during emergencies and provide necessary support to emergency services.
- Accurately document incidents and escalate to supervisors for necessary follow-up or investigation.
- Assist in maintaining crowd control and ensuring safety during university or hospital events and public gatherings.
- Monitor and manage access control points, intervening in case of conflicts or disturbances when needed.
- Guide and assist visitors, staff, and students courteously, offering directions within the campus and hospital buildings.
- Promote and ensure compliance with the university and hospital rules and regulations to uphold a secure environment.
- Ensure the operational readiness of security tools and equipment such as walkie-talkies, flashlights, and surveillance systems.
- Report any malfunctioning or damaged security equipment to the appropriate department for timely maintenance or replacement.
- Immediately inform superiors of any unusual or suspicious activities observed in the area of responsibility.
- Notify relevant authorities regarding any infrastructure-related issues or unserviceable conditions identified around the assigned post.
- Report any abnormal or suspicious behavior exhibited by students, staff, or visitors to the appropriate authority.
