**Job Overview**: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented GST Executive to manage our tax compliance, customer payments, and sales entries. This role is crucial in ensuring that all transactions are properly accounted for and that the company is fully compliant with GST regulations. You will be responsible for managing GST filings, reconciling tax credits, and overseeing sales and payment entries related to our real estate projects.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **GST Compliance & Filings**:
- Timely and accurate filing of GST returns, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, and GSTR-9C.
- Preparation and reconciliation of GST input and output tax.
- Ensure compliance with the latest GST amendments, notifications, and circulars.
- Monitor GST credit utilization and verify the accuracy of Input Tax Credit (ITC) claims.
- Manage GST registrations, amendments, and cancellations for various project locations.
- **Sales & Customer Payment Management**:
- Record and manage sales transactions and customer payments related to real estate projects.
- Ensure accurate invoicing, including the proper calculation of GST on real estate transactions.
- Manage customer accounts, track payments, and issue receipts for all customer-related financial activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all customer payments and ensure reconciliation with bank accounts.
- Coordinate with the sales and finance teams to ensure smooth integration of sales data into the GST system.
- **Tax Documentation & Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of GST invoices, ledgers, and financial transactions.
- Organize and store all GST-related documents for audit purposes.
- Ensure that all GST payments, input credits, and liabilities are properly documented and reported.
- **Audit & Liaison with Authorities**:
- Assist in internal and external audits concerning GST matters.
- Act as the point of contact for any queries or notices from GST authorities.
- Prepare responses to GST audit queries and ensure compliance with tax authorities' requirements.
- Handle assessments, refunds, and reconciliations of GST with tax authorities.
**Required Skills**:
- **Reconciliation & Reporting**:
- Regular reconciliation of GST liability with financial statements.
- Monitor discrepancies in GST payments and receipts and rectify them promptly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual GST reports for senior management.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and MIS reports related to tax payments and liabilities.
- **Training & Compliance Updates**:
- Keep the team informed of any new regulations or updates in GST laws, particularly those affecting the real estate sector.
- Provide training and guidance to other staff regarding GST compliance and tax filing procedures.
- **Educational Background**: B.Com or M.Com, with a specialization in taxation or finance preferred.
- **Experience**: 2-3 years of experience in handling GST, tax filings, and compliance in the real estate industry.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills for data reconciliation and reporting.
- **Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of GST laws, especially concerning real estate taxation, RERA (Real Estate Regulation Act), and relevant financial reporting standards.
- **Analytical Skills**: Ability to identify discrepancies in tax filings, reconcile accounts, and ensure accurate credit utilization.
- **Communication Skills**: Strong verbal and written communication to liaise with tax authorities, internal teams, and clients.
- **Attention to Detail**: A high level of accuracy is essential for this role, especially when managing customer payments, tax filings, and reconciliations.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to handle complex tax issues and queries from tax authorities.
- **Time Management**: Efficiently manage multiple tax-related tasks, meeting deadlines for filings and customer payment reconciliations.
- **Team Collaboration**: Coordinate with various departments such as sales, finance, and legal to ensure seamless integration of tax and payment data.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
