**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Design and create visually compelling graphics for social media platforms, including posts, stories, and reels.
- Develop engaging short-form videos and animations to accompany news articles and enhance audience interaction.
- Collaborate with editors and content creators to conceptualise and execute designs aligned with the organisation’s brand and tone.
- Optimise visuals for multiple platforms, ensuring compatibility with varying dimensions and formats (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn).
- Edit and refine video content, adding text overlays, transitions, and sound effects as needed.
- Stay updated on social media trends and incorporate innovative design ideas to improve audience engagement.
- Manage a consistent design style and branding across all content formats.
- Organize and maintain a library of templates, graphics, and video assets for future use.
- Work on tight deadlines to deliver high-quality designs in a fast-paced news environment.

**Qualifications and Required Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (preferred).
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Experience in creating content specifically for social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, YouTube).
- Strong skills in video editing and motion graphics.
- Ability to conceptualise and execute creative ideas quickly.
