**The Opportunity**

**About the Team**

We are hiring for the Stargate team within the Core Data Path umbrella which is responsible for NDSF. The Stargate team is the “data-engine” of the distributed file system, which handles all the IO requests, places data, dedupe, compression, encryption, healing from failures, etc.
Team’s primary technology stack: C++

**Your Role**

The Core Data Path division in Nutanix is looking for senior engineers experienced in data-path/IO path. In this role, you will:

- Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems, and design innovative solutions for customer requirements.
- Improve performance, scale-out and resiliency of our distributed data-path and control plane.
- Lead a team of 5-8 talented engineers.
- Work closely with other development teams, testers, documentation writers and product management to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
- Engage with customers and support when needed to solve production issues

**What You Will Bring**
- Love of programming and expertise in one or more languages: C++/Java/ Golang.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with ESXi/KVM virtualization systems management.
- Experience with Distributed systems and/or in storage or related fields.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or related fields.
- Ownership mindset while solving difficult problems spanning multiple teams.
- Experience of leading/mentoring engineers, experience of delivering complex projects.
- 6-14 years of software development experience in product development companies.

**Work Arrangement**

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
