Thomas and his wife Elsamma Thomas both started their careers as teachers themselves, which fostered their vision and goal to create the best educational institution in which a child can learn and grow. **Job Title**: Mathematics Teacher (IBDP & MYP) **Location**: Good Shepherd International School, M Palada, Ooty, Tamil Nadu **Start Date**: July 2025 **Reports To**: Head of the Department - Mathematics **Job Summary**: **Key Responsibilities**: - Teach **MYP Mathematics** in alignment with IB curriculum objectives, ensuring conceptual understanding and interdisciplinary connections. - Teach **IBDP Mathematics** (Analysis & Approaches and/or Applications & Interpretation, SL/HL) as per the IB syllabus, preparing students for **Internal Assessments and External Examinations**. - Develop **inquiry-based lesson plans** that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. - Guide students in **Internal Assessments (IA) and Extended Essays (EE)**, ensuring strong research and analytical rigour.- Foster **critical thinking and problem-solving skills** through discussions, explorations, and investigations. - Integrate **Theory of Knowledge (TOK)** and global perspectives into Mathematics teaching. - Stay updated with IB curriculum developments, assessment reports, and best pedagogical practices. - Participate in **faculty meetings, school events, residential responsibilities**, and **professional development programs**. **Qualifications & Skills**: - ** Master’s degree in Mathematics**. - ** IB-certified training (preferred)** and prior experience in MYP & IBDP Mathematics teaching. - ** Minimum 5 years of teaching experience** in international curricula. - Strong understanding of **IB assessment criteria, command terms, and mark schemes**. - Ability to integrate **technology and digital tools** effectively in Mathematics teaching. - Passion for Mathematics and a **commitment to student success**. **Added Benefit**: - ** IB Examiner experience (MYP/IBDP)** is an advantage. - TOK and extended essays, CAS projects related exposure Compensation and benefits: - Salary best as per market standards - Accommodation and cafeteria services - One child education exemption - In house medical services and coverage in group employee policy - Gratuity and PF facility - Mathematics IBDP & MYP July 2025"
