**Job Title**: Heavy Driver

**Department**: Logistics / Transportation

**Reports To**: Transport Supervisor / Fleet Manager

**Job Summary**:
The Heavy Driver is responsible for operating heavy vehicles such as trailers, trucks, tankers, or other large transport vehicles to deliver goods and materials safely and efficiently. The role includes ensuring proper vehicle maintenance, adherence to traffic regulations, and timely delivery of assigned loads.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Operate heavy vehicles (trucks, trailers, tankers, etc.) to transport goods to specified destinations.
- Inspect vehicle before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness and report any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, and fuel consumption records.
- Ensure proper loading and unloading of cargo, verifying that materials are safely secured.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company transport policies.
- Perform basic maintenance tasks such as checking oil, water, and tire pressure.
- Coordinate with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and supervisors for route planning and scheduling.
- Report accidents, delays, or other transportation incidents promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of the vehicle.
- Assist in training new drivers when required.

**Qualifications & Requirements**:

- Valid Heavy Vehicle Driving License (bahrain licence mandatory).
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Heavy Driver (preferably in logistics, construction, or industrial sectors).
- Sound knowledge of traffic laws and road safety practices.
- Ability to handle long-distance driving and flexible working hours.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physically fit with good eyesight and alertness.

**Work Environment**:

- Outdoor and on-road work environment.
- May require travel between cities or worksites.
- Shift-based or long hours depending on operational needs.
