Chief Enterprise Architect

The Position

HBK are looking for a new Chief Enterprise Architect. This role will include proactively and holistically guiding enterprise leaders, product managers, product owners, and distributed delivery teams through transformation and optimisation initiatives. This role supports the formulation of business strategy, outcomes, and capabilities, focusing on developing the business and IT strategy and enterprise architecture of the organisation as a whole.

Primary responsibilities- Ownership and alignment between business and IT, and across the democratised IT landscape.- Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships.- Adapt to changing business and operating models.- Analyse trends and disruptions which could impact business capability, and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes.- Communicate the value of enterprise architecture and its portfolio of services.- Establish an Enterprise Architecture capability and operating mode.- Building or integrating AI capability and architecture- Coach and mentor other architects, product owners/managers, and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking.

Requirements- Support the formulation of strategy and guide execution.- Build and maintain relationships with a globally diverse group of technical and business stakeholders.- Orchestrate the delivery of business outcomes.- Facilitate technical innovation to enable the business strategy.- Plan and manage the IT portfolio.- Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Cloud solutions, and Salesforce integration.- Design of technological principles and architecture strategies for SAP landscape and integration into enterprise architecture.

Skills:
- Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT, and predictive analytics.- Understanding of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.- Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, related graphical models, and frameworks.- Insight into information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks.- Understanding of various operating models such as project-centric and product-centric and different types of agile principles, methodologies, and frameworks, especially those designed to be scaled at the enterprise level.- Awareness of existing, new, and emerging technologies, and processing environments.- Effective leadership skills with exceptional soft and interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation.- Strong consulting skills such as targeted communications, engagement management, stakeholder management, and business development.- Mastery of all components of enterprise architecture, business & IT principles, and processes.- Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills.- Balances the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals.- Rapidly comprehends the functions and capabilities of new technologies.- Ready to think, behave, and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies.- Understands and speaks the language of the business. Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
