Ot Nurse

Assist surgeons and anaesthesiologists before, during, and after surgery. Prepare operating rooms with sterile surgical instruments and equipment linens that will be needed during an operation.
- Ensure change rooms are clean with enough scrub suits/caps/masks for the day.
- Take inventory of the OT where you are posted for the day.
- Check equipment for their functional status and ensure all the items required for the surgery to follow whether it is ready including items for required for the surgery to follow whether it is ready including items for anaesthesia, perfusion, and for surgery - instruments dressing materials, and suture materials (kept ready by the night staff) and arrange them on trolleys as required.
- To inspect the OT equipment & lights, scrub room, dressing trolleys, scrub stand solution, etc.
- The circulating nurse will help the scrub nurse to get the instruments trolley ready for the case, and give promptly all the required items. After each case accompany the patient to the recovery room or the ICU and endorse the patient to the assigned staff.
- The surgical kit pre/post-op should be checked.
- The billing sheet is to be completed to avoid confusion about overcharging / not charging.
- The valuable instruments should be washed clean of all dried blood and then dispatched to the CSSD.
- Dispose of all the sharps in separate hard containers and bend them for incineration.
- All linens/materials areto be disposed of off in appropriate color-coded liners as decided by the hospital infection control policy.
- Prepare CSSD requisition.
- Keep OT always neat and tidy and ready for the next use at any given time.
- Taking care of the entire fine, costly instruments.
- Maintain records in the system and log books.
- Any unusual incident thathappens to pertain to patient / OT personnel must report to Senior Staff on duty supervision and fill out the form for necessary action to be taken.

PRE-OP HOLD
- Check the pre-op holds area for the following
- Trolleys, suction, central gases, vacuum, and record papers.
- Call for the patients as per the OT list schedule, at least half an hour before the scheduled time.
- Special inquiry about the arrangement of blood and the availability
- Complete all your records. Report at once if any discrepancies are noticed.
- Perform team time out
- During the surgical procedure, OR Nurses can take the role of:

- Circulating Nurse, with the following additional duties:

- Assists in positioning, and responding to the comfort/safety of patient
- Provides for accurate care and handling of specimens
- Observes and enforce strict standards of asepsis
- Observes, checks, and monitors all equipment used during surgery to confirm they are running smoothly
- Handles patient documentation
- Inventories all items both pre-and post-surgery

Scrub Nurse, with the following duties:

- Selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation, passing them to the surgeon
- Inventories all items pre & post-surgery

Nurses First Assist, with the following duties:

- Delivers direct surgical care by assisting physicians
- Helps control bleeding
- Provides wound exposure
- Sutures patients after the surgery
- To participate in the appraisal scheme in accordance with Hospital policy

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mumbai, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (required)

**Education**:

- GNM/B. SC Nursing
- Diploma (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Nursing License (required)

**Language**:

- Hindi, English, Marathi (preferred)

**Salary**: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month

Schedule:

- Rotational shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

- Navi Mumbai - 410210, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
