**What is an Application Integration Expert?**

**The Job**

We are looking for an Application Integration Expert to join our Integration Chapter in Group digital Services function of DSM. You’ll be part of a cross-functional multi-product agile team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.

As an Application Integration Expert, you should be comfortable translating business requirements and functional specifications for interfaces into Integration requirements and implement and manage these Interface components through their lifecycle. You should also be a team player with an ability to develop frameworks and build re-usable performant integrations. As part of a DevOps team you will take ownership for delivery of new digital integration solutions or manage the implementation of changes to existing ones.

To support our global team from our delivery center in Hyderabad-India DSM’s Integration Chapter is looking for Integration Experts with experience in Integration, API’s, B2B/EDI across technologies - webMethods, SAP Cloud Integration, Azure and AWS

**Application Integration duties include**:

- Define code architecture decisions to support a high-performance and scalable product with a mínimal footprint
- Collaborate well with all stakeholders - Business, Engineers, Architects, Managers, Functional experts - to design and create advanced, elegant and efficient systems and interfaces
- Participating in the design and creation of scalable, performant interfaces
- Writing clean, functional code in middleware
- Testing and fixing bugs or other issues, structurally address and resolve any technical issues and bring improvements
- Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment
- Maintaining and upgrading the interfaces following deployment
- Deep understanding of underlying data models, configuration and system functionality.
- Hands-on ability to analyze/develop/configure/deploy Integration components when required as well as able to challenge, validate and enrich technical designs of others, in an agile team.
- Calculates and plans the efforts, lead times and budget of the development work related to integration scope.
- Map user requirements into technical specifications for implementation in webMethods, SAP Cloud Integration, Azure and AWS integration products
- Overseeing the automated testing and providing feedback to management during the development process
- Develop integrations solutions that balance usability, standardization, long term maintainability and time to market. Compare the pro’s and con’s between custom development versus standard configuration and give right advise.
- Ensures consistency, inter-operability & manageability of the integration landscape and all related infrastructural components
- Guide the set-up of the system support model for new solutions
- Reviews and approves requirements on completeness and assures compliance with the development and architecture standards
- Collaborates with peers to share knowledge, building competence
- Collaborate closely with business and project stakeholders to understand business requirements and desired capabilities, understand the value to DSM and provide constructive challenge where appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with functional resources to ensure the technical design is in line with the functional solution design and understand the impact and implications of various solution options from technical performance to business operations.
- Key stakeholder management by setting expectations on development approach and timelines - be able to identify key risks whether in design or during execution and collaborate and take action with the broader team as required to mitigate risks and impact.
- Guide stakeholders on successfully activating the solutions that have been designed.

**Need to have**:

- 10+ years of experience in building, delivering and managing Interfaces and Integration solutions in Software AG webMethods and other technologies
- EAI and B2B experience with webMethods Integration Server, Trading Networks, ActiveTransfer, Universal Messaging
- Good understanding of Integration capabilities in Software AG product suite
- Good experience with iPaaS solutions, preferably Software AG cloud
- Experience with SAP backend integration (ECC and/or S4 HANA) and related integration patterns
- Good understanding of different Integration Design Patterns and architecting end to end solutions
- Full stack developer mindset
