About the Role The recently incorporated team at Monech has a mission of building systemic intelligence across Financial Advisory ecosystem. This team is currently a part of its future - thinking, potential financial advisory start-up subsidiary - Monech - “Where tech meets money” Having been in the financial services industry for the nearly 25 years in India, we believe in creating products and advice that cater to the future. In addition to interacting with more than 1000 clients, we have data from huge number of investors and sellers going back decades. The numerous TBs of data generated per day has complete mix of data types in terms of financial, graphical, numerical data, structured text, unstructured text, etc. Job Responsibility 1. Lead the data science & analytics projects for Golechha Capital Pvt. Ltd. - a. Build an end to end Financial Advisory Platform b. Personal Finance Application c. Third Party Products Application 2. Understand analytics requirements related to app promotion, usage and servicing 3. Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques 4. Data mining using state-of-the-art methods 5. Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed 6. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis 7. Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner 8. Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance 9. Design information architecture and corresponding data requirements 10. Design statistical models and analytical reports & dashboards 11. Liaison with app management team to assimilate app strategy and activities 12. Prepare requirements documentation for planned dashboards, analysis 13. Prepare statistical models and dashboards as per design specifications provided by users & business heads 14. Liaison with internal and external consultants / vendors for undertaking analytics projects 15. Coordinating with data science and analytics team to carry out some of the above tasks **Qualifications**: WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE - Financial Services domain experience preferred - Comprehensive understanding of Machine learning, Deep learning and Artificial - Excellent understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as kNN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, etc. - Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. - Hands-on predictive analytics experience with Python - In-depth knowledge of statistical software packages (e.g. SAS and R) - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Plotly, PowerBi, Tableau, Shiny) - Exposure to big data technologies such as Hadoop, R, and Java / MapReduce a plus - Exposure to NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase, DynamoDB a plus - Experience with top-tier firms in big data analytics, management consulting, or comparable role in corporate setting is a plus - Basic understanding of financial markets and willing to work in a finance corporate set up role SKILLS / OTHER PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - Self-motivated. Capable of working wit
