About the Role:
We are looking for a meticulous and enthusiastic Junior Editor to join our editorial team and help us publish stellar content in our HR-focused, monthly eMagazines

As a junior editor, you will review story ideas and will be responsible for sourcing, editing, rewriting, and proofreading content for the publications. Conducting interviews, developing story ideas and writing articles will be a plus

You will own the integration and coordination of multiple magazines and liaise with team members to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Accountabilities:

- Evaluate submissions from contributors to decide what to publish
- Read content and correct spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors
- Proofread and check articles for accuracy
- Rewrite articles, if required, by coordinating with the contributor
- Ensure all publishable articles are optimized for our target audience
- Participate in editorial discussions and come up with valuable editorial ideas
- Build and grow the network of authors

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

- 4+ years of experience in an editing or publishing role
- Excellent editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel and Google Suite platform)
- Excellent ability to comprehend matters/content
- Excellent command of English language, grammar and sentence structure
- Ability to multitask and handle different projects simultaneously
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Strong initiative and proactiveness to ensure quality of content is maintained
- Superior teamwork and collaboration skills
- Organizational and time management competency
- Understanding of SEO guidelines and concepts preferred to help elevate online search rankings
