CNC Setter

To ensure that CNC and relevant manual machines within the CNC production areas are producing components as efficiently as possible, from design drawings to the standards required by Quality Assurance. KEY TASKS: 1) Working with the Cell Leader/Manufacturing planning and other members of the team, schedule work through relevant machining cells, using all relevant scheduling tools. 2) Ensure that materials are available at the machine, in the correct quantities and to the correct specifications (Diameter, bore, length etc) 3) Responsible for maintaining data accuracy throughout all aspects of the role, reporting all errors using the correct procedure. 4) Set and run CNC machines, duties to include: I. Occasionally programming machines for NPI,ETO,and design modifications II. Loading of CNC programs III. Running and checking “1st” off(liaising with quality when relevant) IV. Machining batch complete to required standard. 5) Assist with training of new employees when necessary. 6) Use a wide variety of gauges and measuring equipment calibrated in metric or imperial units (including CMM machine, if relevant).
